Quill Gordon

Quill Gordon is not my real name. Every place you go to stay and fish has someone like me working there, making sure the lights come on, the boats float, the beds are made and that you don't run out of toilet paper.

I spend more time watching other people fish than doing it myself but still manage to rack up a lot of hours with a rod in my hand. I do not go to far-flung locales for my fishing but my guests do. All of my trout fishing in the last five years has been within a twenty minute walk from my door, giving me a "home pond advantage" over people who don't see the same water all day, every day but I am by no means an expert angler.

I prefer old bamboo rods but I am not a snob about it.

I wish more anglers would take themselves and their fishing a lot less seriously.

I am tall and from late March through late October I sport a very large, archaically spelled moustache. From late October through late March I wear a full beard and snowshoes.

I try to amuse.
