Welcome fellow NC fisher! Thanks for joining us. I think you may be our first organically grown forum member in quite a while. Hopefully you can wake us up around here. Wink LOL ( Posting big fish is always a sure bet! )

Thanks Owl!
I actually found the forum via your homepage link on Twitter. Good to meet you. I may have a pic or two of a PIG..lol Mostly on the smaller streams but I hit bigger waters when I can. Have a great time on the D, I see the CFS is up and looking good.

FlyNpipe,

We did ok in the morning, but for everyone but one guy everything turned off after lunch. The fish were still rising like crazy but out of about 20 people fishing around the hatchery, only one guy was catching them - and man, he was catching them left and right. Saw quite a few nice fish swim by my legs. Wink lol

That's a big, pretty fish!

Fishing the D is always fun and often leaves me scratching my head.. lol One of my favorite things to do over there is to take a small midge and apply floatant to it, they love to sip em. Looked like the water was up and thats always a good thing. Fish Avery any? Love that one!!

I have been collecting pipes for a while. Smoke and fish at the same time?.. No but I have been asked that before..lol I enjoy all sorts of tobaccos and some of the pipes have history, some just off the shelf.

Nice AR you have there. Have one myself, M&P15T love that rifle just wish I had the moolah to add the things I want on it..lol How you like that Eotech sight?

Ah...my brother in law used to collect pipes. He got into restoring and selling them for awhile. Finally some guys came in and offered him a bunch for everything he had so he got out of it. I think they were trying to corner the market thinking that pipes were going to be like the cigar craze from a few years back.

I like the Eotech sight. My friend has an ACOG on his. Its better since it doesn't use batteries, but mighty pricey. I went way over board on this one with all of the gadgets and rails and stuff, but its cool. I built it up from parts, but its a RRA upper and lower. Just wish I would have bought more ammo back when it was $100 per thousand. Crying or Very sad

I do a little restoring etc.. Love the old stuff. Yeah an ACOG is a sweet sight but really costly as you say. RR is great stuff! Sounds like an awesome weapon. I'm pleased with the smith so far. A buddy of mine took his to afghanistan for a year and it performed excellent. Time will tell.

Afghanistan??? Contract or military? I'm assuming contract since the military should be providing everyone with a decent weapon.

I've had a little trouble with the barrel on this one, but it was somewhat of a fly by night place I got it from. The chamber is a little tight, so I've had some spent cases stick. Its gotten a good bit better though and I haven't had that happen in awhile. Its a sure blast to shoot!
