Re: Kinda slow up in here...
I just recently heard about Jackpot Carpin'. I think we should get a team up and go make some money.
Re: Kinda slow up in here...
Jackpot carping? Hmmm, not familiar with that one. Gotta be good though if carp are involved. What is it?
I think it speaks well of your board that the top three posts in the Warmwater forum are carp related.

Gamblin with carps??? Sounds interesting, but I'd just assume catch some fish and forget about the money.

$8000??? Whoa, that's some serious cash. I bet they have some crazy boat rigs showing up to do that stuff. Where does this happen?

Re: Kinda slow up in here...
Nope. Here's how it works. They stock a small pond with way too many carp. then, whoever gets big fish each hour wins $$. Whoever has the biggest total catch at the end wins the big $$$.
Word is, its' very competitive and the guys that have already been doing it ( competition and carp fishing) are hard to beat. But it sounds like fun. Entry fees are from $20-$80 depending on where you go and how many people are in the contest. Runs all weekend - three 12 hour shifts. Something like that...and the people doing it in GA are apparently all around Covington.
Ready yet?

Sounds crazy. I bet there's some secret baits being used and folks ready to shoot someone for getting in their hole. It would be very interesting though. You never know who'll get the big one I guess.
