Baby Boy Arrived Yesterday

My son finally arrived yesterday, a healthy, happy, 10 toed, 10 fingered (well, 8 fingers and 2 thumbs) little boy. He's about the size of a small steelhead - 21 inches, 6 lb 7 ounces. Definitely wild, but a keeper none the less. Doc said we're probably going home from the hospital about 6 this evening. Been a looooong couple days - they induced my wife on Monday, and all through Tuesday into early Wednesday AM she was getting further dilated, but one of the docs accidentally broke her water early, before she was starting to dilate at all...made things odd. Kid had more than enough lubrication though - his head made an excellent dam at the cervical entrance! He's got quite a grip on him - though his fingers and hands are sooo tiny, he can grab my pointer finger with both hands, and still have room on either side. He's strong though - and doesn't like hats. At least the fuzzy one the hospital is making him wear. He hates having it on, and cries when I it back on him when itfalls off. We've got more stylish hats at home for him, so we'll see we can't get one he likes!

Didn't get a lot of sleep last night - i set alarms for every 2 hrs so I could get my wife up and feed him, per docs suggestions. Made for long night!

Oh, and Owl - do I get extra contest points if I can post pix of video of my new lil' fishin partner with a sign or T-shirt that says OwlJones.Com and/or RiseFishing.com? Lil' James is going to need a good starter flyrod when he gets a bit older!

Thanks all! Wew - lil' guy has taken up a lot of Papa's time and attention since we've been home, but it's soooo worth it. Can't wait till he & I can go fishin' together
